I am addicted to Twitter and am honoured to be a part of the best educational network ever. I have posted another great commoncraft video explaining twitter in the hope that people will join up and become part of the twitterverse. I use twhirl as my twitter client and if you have any questions comment below.
I have been busy twittering away tonight with wonderful educators around the world. One such person was Helen Otway http://helenotway.edublogs.org/ who was twittering about voki. I have now created my own and think that they have great potential in the classroom for students not comfortable being videoed.
CassieWow what a scorcher today and hotter tomorrow. I feel for our students in the heat today and tomorrow. We have been very busy this week getting ready for camp. I am constantly amazed by the professionalism and maturity of our new team. Every person in our Year 7 team have been working tirelessly for this camp. Tonight they were all still working away at 6.30 organising rooms. Who says teachers finish at 3.30.
They did all this amoungst the heat !!! At least they didnt have a fur coat like my pooch. Our new dog cassie pictured below has been a great addition to our family since we rescued her two weeks ago
Today is our Three Way Conference day with our students and parents. I just felt compelled to write a message of encouragement and support to all of our new teachers today. I remember my first interviews where I spent the day shaking and scared out of my wits about saying the wrong thing. Now I think I could talk to the cows came home to any parent and I believe most would agree.
Next week we are off on our city camp and I will aim to blog from the city about our experiences. At the moment it is a little crazy to blog in depth about our camp but I hope to fix this soon
